ESSENTA will host an event to raise awareness toward sustainable consumption of Personal Care Products and celebrate the International Day of Natural Cosmetics on 23 November 2023 hosted by NaTrue.
This event will unravel the facts and perceptions around Natural Cosmetics while exploring the connections between Health, Sustainability and Natural Cosmetics. At the core of this event lies the theme of the benefits of using Natural Products and top trending topics. Our goal is to enhance the understanding of the state-of-the-art science and thinking in this area through 3 sessions:
Dr. Elham Eghbali is the founder and owner of SkinChakra a retailer of cosmetic raw material with customers in about 100 countries. She has a PhD from the University of Bayreuth in Colloid Chemistry and has been teaching, training and consulting chemists and non-chemist in the industry about formulating and testing “Natural and Plant based” Personal Care since 2012.
Anna Crovetto is a graduate of the BSc (Honours) Cosmetic Science course in London. Anna has worked within the cosmetics industry, both in the UK and across Europe. Over the last 10 years, her career path has allowed her to gain experience in the development and marketing of speciality cosmetic raw materials. Anna joined The Upcycled Beauty Company in September 2022 as the Community Lead hoping to inform, inspire and encourage the use of upcycled materials in personal care for a more sustainable circular future.
Dr. Afrooz Zirakzadeh is a Cosmetic Formulation Scientist and Founder of ESSENTA. She holds a PhD in Chemistry and has over 15 years work experience in scientific research and 5 years of entrepreneurship. She is focusing on Formulation and Development of Natural and Sustainable Personal Care Products and Regulatory affairs.
Neda Bahmani is a Business Development Manager and holds a Master in Entrepreneurship and has 10 years of experience in working with startups. She is interested in women entrepreneurship and business sustainability.
